Who they are

TRI Equestrian is an equestrian retailer from the Republic of Ireland. The business was founded in the early 1980s in County Kildare, on the edge of the Curragh, which is the closest thing Ireland has to a capital of the horse: racing stables, the Irish National Stud and the training gallops are all within a few miles. A second store followed in Lurgan, and the company describes itself today as Ireland’s largest equestrian superstore. The range supports the description.

For readers of this magazine the relevance is simple: several of the brands TRI carries already appear in our guides on helmets, rugs and boots, written before there was a shop to link to.

02

What they carry

The brands are the ones a European rider would recognise: Ariat, Horseware, Bucas, Charles Owen, Samshield, KASK, Veredus, Dubarry, Schockemöhle, Pikeur, Racesafe, Shires and Premier Equine, alongside the retailer’s own Turfmasters line for yard equipment.

Across our twelve Shop & Gear categories, over ninety products available from TRI Equestrian are shown with a short editorial description in English, German and Spanish, and each has its own product page with the specification, who it suits, and a Mallorca climate note where that matters. Prices and stock live on TRI’s site and change daily. Our pages send you there for them.

A retailer that ships to Spain in euros and carries the brands our guides already discuss. That is the whole of the relevance.

Why the range is relevant here

Three practical points make TRI Equestrian a sensible place for a reader on Mallorca, in Madrid or in Munich to buy.

Delivery. TRI ships across the EU, prices are in euros, and because Ireland is in the EU there is no customs step and no surprise invoice from the courier. Checked at their checkout with a Balearic and a mainland Spanish address: a flat 25 EUR for standard EU delivery, free on orders over 150 EUR. The same flat rate applies across the EU.

Range. One retailer covering all twelve of our Shop & Gear categories keeps the section coherent: one set of delivery rules, one returns policy, one basket, whether you are buying a helmet, a rug or a pair of boots.

Data. TRI supplies product images and specifications through a licensed feed, so what you see on our pages stays current and the product photography is the retailer’s own, shown unmodified.

04

How buying through our pages works

Links from our product and category pages to TRI Equestrian are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, TRI pays EquiMallorca a small commission through the Awin network. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to their site directly. This is how the magazine funds itself without paywalls or sponsored articles.

Products are selected by our editorial team on specification, fit for the climate and the horse, and price position. The retailer has no say in which products appear, what is written about them or where they sit on the page, and a product that stops deserving its place is removed. Every page that carries such links says so, and the full affiliate disclosure is linked from the footer of every page.

05

When to buy locally

Two cases where a local saddler is the better choice, whatever the shop online.

Small orders. With a 25 EUR delivery charge below 150 EUR, a single hoof pick or a tub of hoof oil ordered from Ireland makes little sense for a reader in Spain. Buy those locally, or add them to a larger order. Our product descriptions say so where it applies.

Fit-critical items you cannot try on. A riding helmet or a pair of tall boots bought online is a gamble unless you already know your size in that exact model. Our helmet and boots guides explain how to measure. If you are still unsure, a fitting at a local saddler is worth more than any delivery saving.
