For the rider and the tack box: Effol Advent Calendar 2026

Care behind every door: Effol, effax and HEY.
Mini and travel sizes to try, plus classics, seasonal products and treats.

Twenty-four doors, and behind them a selection of care products and accessories from Effol, effax and HEY. According to the retailer, the range covers horse care, hoof care, leather care, textile care and everyday stable use, with mini and travel sizes, established care classics, seasonal products and treats.

That mix is its strength. A calendar of small sizes is an easy way to try products before committing to a full bottle, and the travel sizes find a second life in the show bag or the trailer. It suits a rider who looks after their own tack, and it works as a present for someone whose horse lives at a yard you visit.

For the horse: Likit Snaks Advent Calendar

One treat in the evening, for 24 days.
Likit Snaks, low in sugar according to the maker: apple, mint, strawberry, banana.
Keep it small and count it in the daily ration.

Twenty-four doors, each with a portion of Likit Snaks, which the maker describes as low in sugar, in apple, mint, strawberry and banana. It is a small daily ritual for December rather than a meal: a treat after the evening check or at the end of a ride.

A calendar does not change the rule for treats. Keep them small and count them as part of the day’s feeding, and for a horse with a metabolic condition, ask the vet before any treat goes in, calendar or not. The same heart-shaped Snaks come in a resealable 500 g bag for the weeks after Christmas.

The festive yard: QHP’s Christmas pieces

For the photos, the Christmas ride and the yard party.
Headcollar, bandages and ear bonnet from QHP, the BR gift box for the rider.

For the photographs, the Christmas ride and the yard party, QHP makes a small Christmas range. The headcollar with a Christmas print is softly padded, with imitation wool lining at the headpiece and noseband.

The set of four Christmas bandages is red fleece lined with imitation fur, fastened with hook and loop. The Santa ear bonnet completes the look and, according to the maker, is machine washable at 30 °C in a laundry bag.

For the rider there is the BR Christmas gift box, a warm hat and a neck warmer with a soft lining, plus a horse-shaped Christmas tree ornament.

Festive kit is for festive moments. A bonnet or bandages for a photograph or a short ride are one thing; for long work or turnout, the horse’s usual, well-fitting equipment stays the right choice.
